Topic: the manifestation of the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
Text: I Cornt 12:1-11, Act 2:1-4
Memory verse 1 Corinthians 12:7
Aims: this study arms at
The discovery of the various manifestations of the spirit
The identification and understanding of the purpose of the spirits manifestations.
Introduction: In biblical parlance, spiritual gifts have been variously defined as (1) “Extraordinary powers bestowed in the first ages to convince unbeliever and to spread the gospel” (2) spiritual gifts are divine enablement for ministry that the Holy Spirit gives in some measures to all believers and that are to be completely under his control and are to be used for the building of the church for Christ glory”.  (3) “It is supernatural ability given by Christ through the spirit to the believers at the moment of his salvation.
This study focuses on the spiritual gifts and their uses
Apostle Paul addressing the issue of spiritual gifts which probably was another question asked by the Corinthians in their letter to him said that he did not want them to be ignorant of that matter, in like manner, the leadership of casor (PTI) do not only want us to be knowledgeable about this, but much more they want us to boldly and effectively be committed to exercising spiritual gift in the body of Christ.
DISCUSSION QUESTION
The manifestations of the spirit
When you are experientially endowed with power? (Remember that the people Jesus was addressing in Act 1:8 are already believers in Jesus Christ).
How did this experience of endowment of power from on high or coming upon the Holy Spirit repeat in Act of apostle? (point out signs that followed where it followed) Act 2:1-4, Act 8:14-17, Act 9:17-19, Act 10:44-46, Act 19: 1-7
Were the experiences the same as recorded by the scripture?
Was the way of ministration the same? (As pointed earlier, spiritual experiences very even when you have received the same reality.
From 1 Cor 12:8-10 & Rom 12:6-8 identify the spiritual gifts and explain what you understand by each of them.
Why is it necessary that every believers in Christ must need to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
